It seems like a deja vu! Mahindra opened up bookings for XUV5OO on 8th June 2012 and yet again it has received an overwhelming response by registering more than 7200 bookings within a span of 2 days.
This time bookings were opened all across the country.
Mahindra is ramping up production of XUV5OO as fast as it can. It has managed to increase the per month capacity to 4000 units till now and plans to take this figure to 5000 units in 3-4 months. XUV started its Indian journey with bumper bookings as a result of very competitive pricing from Mahindra.
Though prices have gone up by a few grands, popularity and desire of the car remains unfazed. In India XUV is a big hit and there are no two ways about it. However, being the first global car from Mahindra, the worldwide performance remains to be seen.
