I remember, as a toddler, asking my father, “Why doesn’t Mercedes-Benz write its name on its cars?” He had replied, “It does not need to…” I also noticed quite early on that it was not just the car crazy kids and adults who could recognize a car with the three-pointed star as a Merc but even your Bajaj Priya-riding average Joe could point at that logo and exclaim “Mercedes!” stressing on the wrong syllable while at it though.
Mercedes Benz has started a new customer engagement platform called Luxe Drive. Held on February 28 and March 1 2015, at Leisure Valley, Sector 29, Gurgaon, it tried to keep its customers and prospects glued to the brand!
The country’s biggest automotive extravaganza, the Delhi Auto Expo is scheduled to be held from February 5 to 9 in 2016. Apart from the regular bunch of manufacturers, several international brands are also expected to be present at the 13th edition of the Auto Expo which will include the likes of Aston Martin, Maserati and Bentley!
Back at the Los Angeles Motor Show Audi had showcased a vision of the brand’s future design philosophy. That was November 2014. Barely four months after that the Ingolstadt based manufacturer is showcasing a variant of its visionary concept at the floor of the Geneva Motor Show, the Audi prologue Avant show car.
In a not so surprising move by the chairman and Chief Executive of Rolls Royce Motor Cars, the chief has, in an open letter informed the media that the company is working on an all-new car which in his own words “offers the luxury of a Rolls-Royce in a vehicle that can cross any terrain”. Thereby, confirming that Rolls Royce is working on a super luxury SUV.
