Hyundai India has launched the new Fluidic 4S Verna today at a starting price tag of Rs 7,73,903 for the petrol and Rs 8,94,910 (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi). The interesting 4S in the name stands for Stylish designing, Sophisticated interiors, Speed performance and Safer drive.
It is known that Hyundai is testing at least three products in India – i20 Cross, ix25 and their new 2015 Verna facelift. While the former two products may be coming a little later, but according to a report on Overdrive, Hyundai appears to be starting the new year with the launch of their refreshed sedan Verna.
Hyundai Verna was having a ball of a time but till the new City was launched in India with a diesel engine in early 2014. Not only it lost its numero uno position, but with the onslaught from other manufacturers, it has started to loose in monthly sales as well.
Hyundai was already caught testing their Verna facelift in India last month, confirming that the Koreans are indeed working on refreshing their C-segmenter in order to slug it out against the increased competition of new City, Ciaz and others.
The Moscow Motor Show, which took place in August end this year, saw the presence of the Solaris which is coming to India to slug it out in a segment which is becoming highly competitive each day.
